Fighting Robot Workshop

Build your own fighting robot with our workshop and test your skills at the upcoming Robot Fight Night!

The Ballarat Area Robotics League (BARL) is having their first Robot Fight Night coming up on October 25th. To celebrate, and to get you into the competition, we are having a workshop to build a fighting robot base. Check out more information at www.barl.io .

• compatible with the antweight class for the first fight night,
• lots of weight to spare in the 150g weight class,
• uses a cost effective set of components at just $70 for the workshop,
• you get to keep the kit and the robot you build, and
• control the bot using an app on your phone and Bluetooth.

The workshop is a community build style, where an instructor will take you through the initial build process, before we all spend some time improving our bots.

If you need accessible access, please contact us separately at committee@ballarathackerspace.org.au for us to arrange this. We have a lift, but it is locked to the public by default.

Suitable for beginners to intermediate.

Under 18s are welcome, but must be with a guardian over 18 who is responsible for them at all times. All participants will need to sign a waiver before completing the course.
